New Friends

Almost 2 years ago, I moved here to Liberal, Kansas knowing only my husband and his family. Since then, I have made friends and I am so thankful for these girls here. Lisa, Alexa, and Mindy are my 3 closest friends here.  I literally could not make it here without them. They listen to me gripe and they entertain me and put up with my southerness. I am so thankful for them and for them befriending me.

Lisa is about to have a baby and she is from North Dakota. She is also married to one of Kasey's childhood best friends. We hang out with them often and I literally would not have made it through these past months without her. Even though we definitely grew up different, God has put her in my life and I love that she is willing to always be there and listen. I can't wait till her little boy gets here and we have play dates!! Also, so thankful that she always includes Kash and I when Kasey is gone.  She is such a great friend and I can't wait to go to the craft shows and tour of homes with her!!

My other girl friend here is Alexa and she is only 20, but such an amazing woman and friend. We have a lot in common in ways even though I'm old. lol  We love vampire diaries and could literally talk about it for hours. Sad but true..haha  We love to do crafts and cook. We are both obsessed with pinterest...so is Lisa lol and Mindy lol We all have that in common. Alexa is my workout buddy when I can workout, and she is always full of energy.  She is such a positive person and always looking at the glass half full. I also love that we can talk about God and discuss issues going on and be there.  I am so thankful God put her in my life. I love her attitude and views on life. Kash loves her too.

This friend I have not known as long, but God definitely has put her in my life. I love how honest me and Mindy can be to each other.   She makes me laugh.  She has two kids so she understands when your feeling a little crazy because there fussy or you can't get anything done.  She is an amazing photographer, but the best part is she is a woman after God's heart. She is such a strong woman and always striving to do what God wants her to. I have learned from her and look forward to what God has in store for our friendship. I am thankful he put her in my life.

COFFEE!!

Today, I am thankful for coffee!! Yes, I love coffee!!!
It is what starts off a good day. It is what kicks me into gear for the day.
Also, on day like today it help keeps me warm.
I mean what would I do without it.
I love asking friends to meet up for a cup of coffee.
Its a relaxing moment in days that pass too quickly.
I also love how many ways or types of coffee you can have. I have a keurig because I am horrible at cleaning out the regular coffee pots.
I love all the flavor like the truffle chocolate!!!
Then you have all the creamers that they have now a days. Personally, I like a little milk, well a lot of milk, and some sugar.
mmm..I might have to go make a decaf cup right now.
Let me know how you like your coffee!!

My Hannah Banana

Today, I am thankful for my best friend, Hannah Banana. I met Hannah when she ended up dating one of Kasey's friends. We met and I instantly knew I loved her. lol.  So how do I describe Hannah?? She is one of a kind. She is fun, crazy in a good way, energetic, and has one of the biggest hearts I know. She has been such an amazing friend. When I am down I can call her and count on it by the time I am off the phone I will have a smile on my face and have laughed.  She is that friend that you let your hair down with. I could not imagine life without her. And since we have met she and that guy are no longer, but I told her she had to be with him because we had to meet!! When things don't work out the way you planned sometimes you have to take a step back and look at the good that came from that situation or period of time.  Hannah thank you for being an amazing friend and for listening to me rant on on about my problems or about crazy stuff and still loving me. Thanks for always being here no matter what and making me smile..."That just happened!" LOL Oh, also for those of you that don't know my Hannah...she is an amazing dancer!! What a blast we do have and have had and will have!! Thank you God for putting her in my life!

My best friend - Natalee

I am thankful for my best friend, Natalee a.k.a. Nataleah.
We met our freshman year of college at Truett McConnell College, and since then we have remained best friends.
She is that person that you could not talk to for a month because life got so busy, but when you pick up the phone its like you've been talking that whole time.
I love her and not only is she an amazing friend, but an amazing wife and mother of two beautiful boys.
I love looking at her and seeing the blessings God has gave her.
Since the years we met I have been through some rough patches and no matter what she has been there to listen, to be honest, and to pray for me.
I could not imagine life without her. I have had friends before her that I consider best friends, but eventually we always fell apart, but I knew with her that we would be friends for life.
My mom always told me that you will have a handful if lucky of best friends that is there for life and will love you no matter what.
That's my Nataleah; a friend for life, a girl to share my inmost thoughts and secrets with, a God-loving women and so much more.
I truly am thankful for her and her family in my life and look forward to the memories we share in the future.

At her house on my birthday!!

My Brother - Caleb

I am thankful for my brother, Caleb a.k.a. KK.  He is 21 years old so we are almost 7 years  apart. Now let me tell ya, I did not like him at first. lol. I was 6 and being the only child that long...let's say I had gotten a little spoiled. But now I couldn't have imagine my life without him. He has one of the biggest hearts I know. He is a tender soul. Don't get me wrong we can definitely throw down on each other, but what brother and sister can't. lol. I truly have been amazed at the man he is becoming or has become. He loves the Lord and is always striving to be better. I love also when we are together its like we're two big kids again. We both love Christmas and all the traditions. He is a very open person and I mean open and I am not. But that is one reason why he has such a big heart and because he loves everyone. He is also one of a kind. Now if we can just get him out of college. ha ha Just kidding....a little bit.  I am thankful though for my little brother and no matter what, he better know, I love him.

My Uncle Oscar

I am thankful for my amazing, wonderful, one of a kind Uncle Oscar! Every girl in the world should have one, but if your looking for one I will not share.  It will be hard to put into words how awesome he is, but he has spoiled me since I was born. I use to walk around telling people he was "My Oscar" just incase anybody thought they could have him. Oh, no definitely not! I love my Uncle and am so grateful for all the opportunities and blessings he has gave me. We have gone on trips together for as long as I can remember till I was in college. We have been to England, France, Germany, Alaska, and even the Bahamas and more together. When ever I have been in a rut he has helped me. Not only has he been there, but he has been a great example of what a man should be. He loves God and his cats, Bill and Mary, and he would do anything for someone he cares for. He is one of a kind; I promise! I am so thankful God gave him to me. I barely touched on how amazing he is, but hopefully this gives you an insight to a great Uncle!!

Uncle Oscar loving on Kash man!
Kash thinks he is awesome too!!

Amazing Parents

I am so thankful for my amazing parents. I honestly don't know what I would do without them. They have been there for me through good and bad. They have loved me when I am wrong or right. They have answered the phone in the wee hours so I would have someone to talk to while walking to my car or into my apartment. No matter what or when or where they are there if I need them and for that I am forever thankful. I am so glad God gave me them. I love you Mom and Dad!!! Thank you for bringing me up in church and for teaching me about God. I am so lucky to have yall!
